How to Train Your Actor

June 30 2026
Create a digital version of yourself in minutes. Your Actor preserves your identity across any style, setting, or scenario — professional headshots, fantasy adventures, historical portraits, or anything in between.
This is the foundation of everything you'll create in Artflow. Train once, generate unlimited content with your consistent identity.

What You'll Need

  • 3–10 photos of yourself (or the person you're creating an Actor for) — go for quality rather than quantity.
  • Less than 5 minutes to complete the setup.

Step 1: Get Started

Go to Actor Studio and click on the Create new Actor button to begin training.

Step 2: Select Your Goal

Choose what you want to create. This helps us generate a Welcome Pack tailored to your interests:
  • Professional headshots — LinkedIn, resumes, business profiles
  • Fun & shareable — humorous images for group chats
  • Star in epic stories — fantasy worlds, historical moments, cinematic adventures
  • Family & friends — holiday cards, group portraits, memories
  • Level up my socials — scroll-stopping posts for Instagram, dating apps
  • Surprise me — not sure yet? Start here
You can select multiple options. The preview on the right shows example images based on your selection.

Step 3: Upload Your Photos

Upload at least 3 photos. More photos = better results (up to 10).
Good photos:
  • Solo pictures (just you)
  • Face fully visible
  • Varied poses and expressions
  • Different lighting and backgrounds
Avoid:
  • Group photos
  • Sunglasses or face coverings
  • Photos where your face is too small
  • Heavy filters

Step 4: Provide Your Information

Fill in your Actor details:
  • Actor name — your name or character name
  • Actor handle — your unique @handle for prompts (e.g., @sarah)
  • Bio — brief description (helps with context)
  • Additional information — anything else relevant (optional)

Step 5: Preview Your Actor

See how our AI interprets your photos. The preview shows:
  • A sample image generated with Allium
  • Detected attributes (gender, age, key features)
  • Additional details the AI noticed
Review the preview. If something looks off, you can go back and adjust your photos or information.

Step 6: Start Actor Training

Choose your path. Free training gets you a 2-image Welcome Pack, up to 1 hour of training time, and 5 trial generations. A subscription gets you a 10-image Welcome Pack, priority-queue training in minutes, and unlimited generations.
After training completes, you'll receive your Welcome Pack images automatically.

What's Next?

Once your Actor is ready:
  • Generate images — go to Studio, use @YourHandle in prompts
  • Browse Templates — curated prompt presets to get started quickly
  • Create videos — switch to the Video tab in Studio to bring your images to life
Example prompt:
Casual, real-life image of @Aida working remotely from a cozy home office setup. Dressed comfortably, with a laptop and a mug of coffee, surrounded by personal items and artwork. Sense of work-life balance. Confident half-smile.

Tips for Best Results

  • Variety matters — different angles and expressions help the AI understand your features
  • Quality over quantity — 5 great photos beat 20 blurry ones
  • Natural lighting — photos with good lighting produce better Actors
  • Recent photos — use photos that represent how you currently look
